1.2. By registering, players agree to adhere to the rules and regulations of the Tournament, as outlined below and in any additional materials provided during the registration process.

1.3. Players must be 18 years of age or older during the calendar year to participate.

1.4. Tennis and pickleball players may only compete in a division equal to or higher than their rating, and they may enter up to 3 divisions.

1.5. In the tennis Men’s or Women’s Doubles divisions, the level will be determined by the higher-rated partner. In Doubles divisions, partners can be no more than one full rating level apart.

1.6. In the pickleball Men's or Women's Doubles divisions, the level will be determined by the partners' average rating.

2. Match Scheduling and Deadlines

2.1. Once registration is complete, The Crown Championships will organize the Tournament brackets for each division. Players will receive an email with their opponent’s contact information for each round.

2.2. Players are responsible for contacting their opponents and scheduling matches at a mutually agreeable location and time, ensuring the match is played by the "Play By" date (deadline) for each round.

2.3. Winners of each match are responsible for reporting the match score on thecrownchampionships.com as soon as possible after the match.

2.4. Extensions to deadlines can be granted under extenuating circumstances, provided the request is made more than 48 hours before the deadline. A maximum extension of 2 days may be given.

2.5. If players cannot come to an agreement on match time and location, the match shall be played at the tournament's default location (specified on Tournament page) at 7pm on the deadline date for the match (specified on the tournament draw). In case of inclement weather, a 24 hour extension will be granted.

2.6. In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extended rain), additional extensions may be provided at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

3. Default and Match Cancellations

3.1. If players are unable to complete their match on or before the deadline, the player/team who was available to play at the default time and location (specified on 2.5.) will advance to the next round.

3.2. If a player is more than 15 minutes late to the scheduled match start time, the present player has the discretion to declare a default.

3.3. If a match is canceled on the scheduled day, and no new date can be agreed upon before the deadline or an approved extension, the canceling player will be defaulted.

4. Match Rules

4.1. In case of disputes, players should contact the Tournament Director, and if necessary, a Tournament representative may be present to continue the match.
